Givaudan is a global leader in fragrances and beauty, as well as taste and well-being. The Givaudan Active Beauty sub-division designs cutting-edge cosmetic active ingredients and high-end specialties that enable people to look and feel good. Within this sub-division, I am a Consumer Market Insight Manager (CMI). My role is to identify consumer needs through various studies that I design and conduct. Consumer feedback is central to the innovation and development of our products. The ultimate goal is to help our clients create best-sellers for consumers using our innovative ingredients.

Maintenant parlons enjeux ! Et pourquoi nous ?

The main challenge was to verify the results of our clinical tests on ordinary, unbiased consumers and on a larger scale. The clinical trials showed a strong moisturizing effect felt within a few hours for a certain concentration of active ingredient in a shower gel format. In addition to seeking confirmation, we wanted to push the experiment further and put Igonogo's technology to the test by evaluating a second shower gel with a 3-times lower concentration to assess whether consumers still perceived moisturizing benefits.

We chose Igonogo because Givaudan wants to remain competitive and innovative in how it evaluates consumer expectations and its ingredients. Neurosciences are of great interest to us: Givaudan has been exploring and developing neuroscientific methods for many years. Igonogo's innovative technology met our challenge of going further for more precise and reliable results. What we liked about Igonogo is that it measures how reliable consumer perception is, which allows us to ensure that the moisturizing power of our active ingredient is indeed felt.

Igonogo truly helped us confirm that consumers can perceive the moisturizing power of our ingredient at different concentrations. Thus, we can be highly confident that end consumers will not be disappointed. They will purchase a product that truly delivers on its promise, which boosts their satisfaction, loyalty, and desire to repurchase the product. This allows us to be even more convincing to our clients, the beauty brands, by assuring them that our ingredient is effective.

We successfully brought together different teams around the project and unified our message. Thanks to the technology's scientific background, we are confident in our commercial pitch, with evidence to support the consumer-perceived efficacy of the ingredient.

I think I can say 10, given that we want to collaborate again and the results were very well received by our internal and external clients!
